Imaging Solutions

For over 15 years CiSRA has provided advanced technologies and solutions for Canon's diverse business groups. We are now expanding our customer base to include external companies who require advanced solutions based on image and Internet technologies.

Established in 1990, CiSRA is the Australian R&D Centre for Canon Inc., the world's leading provider of cameras, business machines, and imaging & information technologies.

With our expertise in digital imaging technologies and our advanced facilities, CiSRA has grown from a small R&D group into one of Canon's largest R&D Centres outside Japan.

Structure and Customer Relationships

CiSRA's internal technical divisions service our primary customer, Canon Inc., and its business units. CiSRA also partners Canon Australia to develop products and technologies for its customers and clients.

Protecting innovative ideas is a fundamental component of industrial R&D.; CiSRA staff are constantly adding to our growing portfolio of internationally-granted patents that underpin our products.
CiSRA has over 450 patents granted worldwide, including over 127 granted in the US and over 271 granted in Australia.
